- 1894 United States Assay Commission Medal. Silver. 33 mm. By Charles E. Barber and George T. Morgan. JK AC-38a. Rarity-5. MS-65 (NGC). Handsome pewter gray surfaces with a fine grain matte-like finish. An attractive design, the reverse depicts seated Juno Moneta returning a weight to a cherub. We have offered a few other silver strikings of this issue in recent years, none as well preserved as this solidly graded Gem. Provenance: From the Richard Jewell Collection.
