- GREAT BRITAIN. Shilling, 1723. London Mint. George I. PCGS MS-64 Gold Shield. S-3647; KM-539.3. First bust type, with "SS", "C" in the reverse angles, indicating that the silver was provided by the South Sea Company. A decently struck shilling with flashy luster and pleasing russet to almond peripheral toning. A few minor dark planchet streaks are noted on both sides. Estimate: $300 - $400.
