GUATEMALA. 8 Reales, 1829-NG M. Nueva Guatemala Mint, Assayer "M". NGC MS-63. KM-4. Five mountains with radiant sun rising, date below; Reverse: Ceiba Tree divides denomination. Tied with just two other examples for finest certified at either NGC or PCGS. A gorgeous example for a date that is typically found with some degree of obverse die corrosion. Nice strike detail in the leaves. Pleasing obverse luster with a mild cocoa dust tone. The reverse has considerable flash, with beautiful iridescent rose and sea-foam tone. Estimate: $2,000 - $3,000.
