- GREAT BRITAIN. Great Exhibition Prize Bronze Medal, 1851. PCGS SP-65 Secure Holder. 77 mm. BHM-2462; Eimer-1456. Conjoined busts of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert left with two dolphins below and trident behind; Reverse: Britannia seated at left conferring laurel wreath upon Industria with Africa, America, Asia and Europe standing behind. Presented to H. M. Engeler & Son, a German maker of high quality hairbrushes. A beautiful mahogany toned large medal which shows no signs of contact or handling with the broad open fields free of interruption or discoloration. The fitted silk lined maroon leather case of issue is included and has probably been the resting place for this piece essentially from when it was first presented. Estimate: $300 - $400.
