- GERMANY. Hesse-Darmstadt. Taler, 1865. Ludwig III. PCGS AU-58. Dav-707; KM-338. Bright and uniformly lustrous with accents of mottled magenta-russet hugging the rims. The slightest handling precludes a Mint State grade, but considerable flash still pervades the surfaces. A slightly better date for the series and desirable as such. Estimate: $100 - $200.
