- GREAT BRITAIN. Victoria & Albert/The Great Exhibition Bronze Award Medal, 1851. London Mint. PCGS SPECIMEN-64.
BHM-2462; Eimer-1456. By W. & L. C. Wyon. Engraved and awarded to J. Moerman-Vanlaere. Obverse: Conjoined busts of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert left, with two inward-facing dolphins below and trident in right field; Reverse: Britannia seated right, conferring laurel wreath upon female allegory of Industry; behind her, female allegories of Africa, America, Asia, and Europe look upon. Presenting rich brown surfaces and an enticing level of brilliance in the fields, this impressive specimen undoubtedly stands out, and represents all the skill and artistry for which the Wyons have been so celebrated.
