- 1889 Liberty Seated Quarter. Proof-67 (PCGS). CAC. Gorgeous toning in iridescent steel-blue, antique gold, copper-russet, deep lilac and champagne-apricot greets the viewer from expertly preserved surfaces. The colors have a delightful target-like distribution on the obverse, which quality further enhances the eye appeal. Fully struck at all focal features. This late date Proof Liberty Seated quarter hails from a mintage of 711 pieces. While as many as 600 of these may survive, the vast majority are in grades of Proof-64 and lower. This Superb Gem is among the most desirable in the areas of both technical quality and aesthetic appeal. It comes highly recommended for inclusion in an advanced type set.
