Mint State 3CS are one of our ALL-TIME favorite series. Legend, our sister company had assembled the FINEST MS+PR set of 3CS. With unrivaled experience we can say this coin is by far one of the better 1854's you will see! Wonderful surfaces are extra clean and smooth. There is also some light die clashing (all Mint made) as well. The luster is a glowing cartwheel type. Moderate colors of totally original olive/pale navy/golden brown/pale purple is scattered about both sides. No question this coin is 100% original. All of the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is excellent! PCGS 21, NGC 4, CAC 12 (obvious resubmissions). PCGS has only graded 6 in MS66+ with only 3 graded higher, 2 in 67 and 1 in 68. The current Collectors Universe value on this coin is $9,000. A slightly lesser MS66+ CAC just sold for $7,343. Look at the value you get here: obsolete denomination, a top GEM, a low pop, and the coin is 168 years old! Why should it not be $15-$20,000?
