- 1788 Massachusetts Cent. Ryder 8-C, W-6260. Rarity-3. Period after MASSACHUSETTS. AU-53 (PCGS). 166.6 grains. Lustrous chocolate brown surfaces are also ever so slightly granular, with faded copper color in the recesses of the devices and legends. Well centered and very well struck, this example's two carbon spots to left of bow will serve to identify this piece in future pedigree or rarity research.
