- Impressively toned late date Silver Three Cent. Sharply impressed with all shield lines clearly defined. Steel gray centers transitioning to lovely old deep blue violet toning towards the rims. Full reflectively under a light. Proof mintage of 1,000 and a mere 3,000 were struck for circulation as this design wound down and ended in 1873. We can easily see this coin in a higher grade holder and are mystified that this coin does not currently have a CAC sticker. PCGS 32, NGC 35. Valued by the PCGS price guide at $1,700. Last NGC PF65 sold at auction in January 2018 for $1,320, last PCGS PR65 sold in auction for $1,645 in August 2017. Will fit nicely in a higher end toned 3CS set. Cert. Number 3607956-003 PCGS # 3721
