- 1919 Walking Liberty Half Dollar. MS-64 (PCGS). Billowy mint frost blankets both sides of this predominantly brilliant example. Lightly toned in iridescent champagne-gold here and there around the peripheries, sharp to full striking detail and carefully preserved surfaces are also praiseworthy attributes. Instantly recognizable as a key date issue, the 1919 has one of the lowest mintages in the Walking Liberty half dollar series with just 962,000 struck. The present example, premium quality for the assigned grade, would serve as a highlight in an advanced Walking Liberty half dollar set. Provenance: From the Naples Bay Collection.
