- 1951 Franklin Half Dollar. Proof-67+ (PCGS). CAC. A glorious example of one of the scarcest and most challenging issues in the Proof Franklin half dollar series. Well mirrored with a highly reflective finish, both sides also sport full striking detail throughout the design. Brilliant and beautiful. The second Proof issue of its type, the 1951 was produced to the extent of 57,500 pieces. After only the first year 1950, this issue is the rarest in the Proof Franklin half dollar series.
