This is an R-4 Goloid Metric pattern dollar with perhaps 76-200 struck. Barber's head of Liberty similar to that of the $50 gold half unions. This one weighs 385.49 grains, and the analysis of the composition is 96% silver, 3.6% copper, 0.4% gold. We are pleasantly surprised how deep and flashy the mirrors are. In fact, the mirrors have strong clarity and are have only a few lines you need to use a strong glass to see. This coin possibly was dipped long ago but is coming back really nice. A faint hint of gold can be seen Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally well stuck. The eye appeal actually is really nice! PCGS 16, NGC 13. The last PCGS piece to sell in auction brought $3,190 and before that one hadn't sold since August 2014. The current Collectors Universe Value is $4,200.
