ROMANIA. 50 Lei, 1906. NGC AU-55. Fr-6; KM-39; Stamb-066. Struck to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the reign of Carol I. Low relief design struck on a thin broad flan would seem to be the perfect recipe for damage and wear yet this piece exhibits only light touches of handling wear with no major flattening or loss of detail.
