详细说明: WOW! What a brilliant and reflective DMPL 79-CC! First off, Ms. Liberty and the eagle are boldly frosted and sharply struck. The mirrors are like sheets of ice, offering rich mirrors that beam a full 8+" deep. Despite a dusting of clear gold this beauty will fit in very nicely in an untoned DMPL set. Many of the known mint state survivors came out of the treasury department in the 1950s and then later on in the GSA releases. It is likely that this coin came from one of those more recent distributions, rather than in 1879. PCGS 19, NGC 11, CAC 4. There are only three PCGS-graded examples that have been graded finer, and all seem to be off the market, ensconced in collections. No other CAC coin has sold in auction, and keep in mind that the MS65 DMPL last sold 11 years ago.
