One of the FINEST 1882 dimes that survived, bested by just two coins graded MS67+ at PCGS. One look at this SUPERB GEM and you can see why! Boldly lustrous with blazing cartwheel bloom on both sides accents the wonderful neon aqua-teal, deep gold, and variegated iridescent hues. The devices are generally crisp and well struck up with bold definition. The only distraction is an ancient finger print on the reverse, that blends with the totally original toning. The eye appeal is very high end. PCGS 16, NGC 26, CAC 12. The last one to sell did not have the beautiful toning of this SUPERB GEM, and realized $2,585 in our July 2017 Regency Auction. Prior to that, two examples sold in late 2014 for $2,820 and $2,938. The only 67+ to ever sell in auction realized $5,170 in our November 2018 Regency Auction.
