A high end and very flashy lustrous GEM example that survives from a paltry mintage of 2,440. Multiple bands of cartwheel luster rolls smoothly and boldly across the smooth nearly pristine surfaces. Only intense scrutiny with a strong glass reveals a tiny tick or line with effort. The devices show razor sharp, crisply defined surfaces that stand out boldly against the surrounding fields. The eye appeal is further enhanced by a wonderfully rich lemon-yellow and orange-gold patina. Housed in an older generation blue tag holder. PCGS 7, NGC 6, CAC 2. This coin has not sold since December 2008. The other CAC-approved MS65 sold in the 2016 ANA auction for $9,400 (an overall weaker market). The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $10,000 and the CAC CPG value is listed at $10,600.
