A frosty, lustrous GEM 1857 dime. The satiny smooth surfaces radiate with a bold, shimmering silver finish and just a touch of iridescent tone. Overall the definition is robust with just a touch of weakness seen in areas, as normal for the date. A couple of tiny ticks are noted for accuracy. PCGS 8, NGC 12. The last one to sell was CAC approved and realized $3,850 in May 2018. This coin was the most recent non-CAC example which brought $2,100 in April 2018. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $4,000. Just a handful are graded finer. Worthy of a fantastic Registry Set. Cert. Number 34941007 PCGS # 4614.00
