- Lot 106 1798 S-170 R3 Small 8, Style II Hair PCGS graded XF40.Glossy medium brown delicately mottled with light olive brown. Underlying frost covers this cent and it has excellent eye appeal. The only mark is a light rim bruise at K-3 on the obverse. LDS, Breen state IV, with a die crack through the T in LIBERTY in addition to the earlier crack that arcs through the ends of the hair ribbon. Our grade is VF30+, at the lower end of the condition census. Estimated Value $2,500 - UP A new discovery by Doug Strain.
