An eye appealing near GEM Capped Bust dime. This is a lovely JR-3 that is especially eye appealing. Wonderful, satiny mint luster has a warm frosty texture that highlights a lovely pearlescent hue over PQ surfaces. Crisply struck, all the design elements are completely embossed into the silver planchet. PCGS 32, NGC 27, CAC 13. The most recent example to sell in auction realized $3,120 in the 2020 FUN auction. Originally, this coin sold over six years ago for nearly $5,000 as an NGC/CAC MS64 from the Highland Collection. More recently it was sold in our January 2018 Regency Auction XXV for $3,643.
