- GREAT BRITAIN. Unite (22 Shillings), ND (1615-16). James I (1603-25). PCGS AU-53. 10.00 gms. S-2620; North-2085; Fr-234; KM-47. Tun mint mark. Second coinage, fifth bust. Initially the Unite was valued at 20 Shillings, but in 1612 a coinage reform raised the values of all gold coinage by 10% making the Unite worth 22 Shillings. Minor strike doubling as is expected from these issues with an abundance of eye appeal displaying a lovely light cabinet tone. Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500.
