- FROM THE VALLEY VIEW COLLECTION Cameo Proofs of this era are EXTREMELY RARE! The dies were not prepared in the same way that earlier and later era Proofs were struck. Highly reflective mirrored fields beam and glisten on both sides, setting apart from the frosted devices. Some traces of pale iridescent tone attest to the inspiring originality of this impressive piece. The population data at PCGS and NGC confirm just how rare this date is in CAM; regular PR66s have a combined Population of 1902, while in CAM, there are 21 (just about 1%). PCGS 6, NGC 15, CAC 5. The last one to sell brought $2,820 half a decade ago in a December 2014 auction. Keep in mind there are just 4 finer in CAM at PCGS, all PR67s, and we sold the most recent of those for $7,344.
