What a magnificent SUPERB GEM. Tied for FINEST and fully Prooflike, we suspect that if resubmitted for a PL designation, this coin would get it (no guarantees). The brilliant untoned, blazing mint luster beams with a dramatic reflective flash like that of a full Proof striking. Every detail is razor sharp and fully frosted, giving this essentially perfect, pristine SUPERB GEM an exceptional eye appeal that cannot be beat. It looks as fresh today as it did when it came off the dies. A low mintage date, only 8,000 business strikes were struck. PCGS 11, NGC 9, CAC 4. PCGS has graded 3 in 67+ and NONE FINER. We cannot trace this GEM in auction, but a different example sold for $6,169 in September 2016. The current PCGS Price Guide is $9,000. We know that this coin will fit into any exceptional type or set of late date Seated quarters.
