- 1783 Nova Constellatio Copper. Crosby 3-C, W-1875. Rarity-3. CONSTELATIO, Blunt Rays, Small U.S. AU-50 (PCGS). An exceptionally wholesome and well defined example with smooth, original surfaces and pleasing medium brown color with lighter chestnut undertones. The strike is full and even across both sides and there is only a trace of wear on the high points. The superb surfaces show nothing that distracts the eye; high magnification reveals only the most trivial abrasions and a single planchet striation at the left obverse border.
