- 1876 Twenty-Cent Piece. BF-2. Rarity-2. Doubled Die Reverse. MS-64 (NGC). Deep silver-golden toning with great mint luster hidden underneath. A good strike is found on this unusual denomination. With only 14,750 business strikes produced, this date is rare in this lofty condition. Add the fact that it has a Doubled Die Reverse makes this coin even more desirable. This variety is unlisted in the Cherrypickers Guide and Breen, in his Encyclopedia, only gives this variety a passing mention. The doubling can be seen most clearly at STATES.
