A wonderful and totally original GEM, Premium Quality, borderline SUPERB example of this early Seated Liberty half dime. Bold, flashy, almost reflective luster blooms from below a dusting of delicate, pastel iridescent toning that has shades of green, gold, and bold pinks and blues mixed in. Sharply struck with crisp, frosty devices. Were it not for a tiny mark on the rim at 1:00, this coin would have attained an even loftier grade. The eye appeal is simply amazing. We always marvel at these very high end, high grade half dimes. PCGS 30, NGC 19, CAC 11. PCGS has graded only 3 in MS66+ and just 10 finer. This is not the one that sold in February 2018 (non-CAC) for $2,820. We sold a PCGS MS66 CAC for $3,055 in July 2018 and a MS67 CAC in May 2019 for $5,523. In MS66+ the PCGS value is $4,250, about the average of those two APRs. A strong bid will be required to take this jewel home--it is that nice! Cert. Number 37107647 PCGS # 4319.00
