This is nowhere near what the typical 40% silver JFK half dollar looks like. This is a beast of a toned example, with a rich, multicolored blend of toning that is simply stunning! The vibrant blend of pink, violet, blue, green, gold, orange, and brilliant silver is absolutely beautiful! We have never seen a 40% half dollar that has this amazing coloration. It does look a lot like the totally "funkadelic" toned 1964-D half dollar in MS68 that we sold in 2016. PCGS 15, NGC 2. Go ahead and ignore most of the recent auction records, this marvelous SUPERB GEM will likely sell for a close to record price.
