- Noteworthy Mint State 1740 Perpignan Sou Marque 1740-Q Sou Marque. Perpignan Mint. Vlack-171. Rarity-6. MS-62 (PCGS). 29.0 grains. Sharply struck with full silvering and a bright frosty to semi-reflective finish - a rare set of attributes in a sou marque from the challenging Perpignan Mint. A few minor, natural planchet striations are noted solely for accuracy, the most prominent of which are in the center of the reverse. A highlight of the present Syd Martin Collections offerings, and eagerly awaiting inclusion in another advanced cabinet. Provenance: From the Sydney F. Martin Collection.
