详细说明: 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar. Zerbe. Proof-66 (NGC). A rare Proof coin and certainly one of the finest seen of this issue, with crystal clean surfaces and blazing white reflectivity in the fields. No signs of toning are present, and the vibrancy imparted by the dies is fully retained. Close scrutiny will find extensive die polishing evidence in the form of swirling lines in the fields, and these are characteristic of this rare issue. Walter Breen notes the Zerbe Proofs have a fine die line at a diagonal up from the left serif of the right side of the second U in UNUM to the rim above, this feature is present confirming a key diagnostic to the Zerbe Proofs. Perhaps 60-100 of these survive today, with the present coin one of the top graded of this important variety. The Chapman style Proofs tend to be more reflective and show slightly different diagnostics than seen here. A coin for the specialist of this series, and one of the examples to survive.
