- 1828 Matron Head Cent. N-5. Rarity-2. Large Narrow Date. AU-55 (PCGS). Both the obverse and reverse are a pleasing light tan color save for a few darker specks on the reverse rim and in the lower obverse field. The strike is sharp on all devices and the surfaces are smooth and free of all but minor signs of circulation or handling. Noyes Die State A/B. Provenance: From the Louis J. Alfonso Collection.
