- Illinois--Du Quoin. Undated (1861-1865) J. Hayes & Bro. Fuld-215A-4a. Rarity-8. Copper. Plain Edge. MS-63 RB (PCGS). 19 mm. Single merchant town, and a scarce die pairing from an elusive issuer. Satiny surfaces exhibit light gray-brown patina, both sides with plenty of original reddish-orange color remaining. There are no blemishes of note, the strike sharply to fully executed throughout.
