1739-A French Colonies Sou Marque. Paris Mint. Vlack-17. Rarity-1. First Semester. AU-58 (PCGS). 32.5 grains. The U in BENEDICTUM is plainly repunched. The design motifs are sharply and fully struck, even on the often-weak peripheral elements. An even layer of deep olive-gray toning, imbued with strong accents of rose, covers both sides. Surface marks are absent.
