FROM THE GRAND PRIX COLLECTION An incredible SUPERB GEM example of this date, and conservatively graded at that! Housed in an Old Green Holder, this marvel has a bold, strong, minty fresh luster that beams from all over on both sides. The surfaces are creamy white and totally untoned, looking as fresh today as it did when it fell from the dies in 1926. A strong glass reveals nothing but a tiny, insignificant tick or two, none of which impose on the exceptional eye appeal. More brilliant than the MS66+ FB we sold in the Hallett Collection and has a SUPERB look. PCGS 27, NGC 9, CAC 19. Just a dozen coins are graded higher. This coin is fresh to the market and likely undergraded (no guarantees, but the eye appeal is spectacular). The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $3,750 The last PCGS/CAC MS66 FB sold back in July 2014 for $4,406.
