Beautiful! This is about as high end a 58 as can be imagined. Semi-reflective, watery luster blooms under a layer of teal and gold toning. The devices are fully struck up and the surfaces barely show any traces of rub. Needless to say, this "GEM" AU is a true delight to behold and worthy of inclusion in any set of this challenging series. PCGS 14, NGC 17, CAC 9. Only two PCGS-graded AU58s have ever sold in auction, the most recent the George Scanlon- AJ Vanderbilt Collection in March 2018, a coin that sold for $900.
