It is speculated by pattern expert, Saul Teichman that these were struck on three cent nickel planchets. If all known examples were weighed, we would know for sure. This is the SINGLE FINEST example of exactly 7 that have been certified by PCGS and NGC combined. Deep, ultra reflective mirrors beam boldly all over and are in a stunning state of preservation, devoid of any issues. The details are bold and fully struck from an exacting blow from the dies. Both sides are a blazing nickel-silver with bold cameo contrast. The eye appeal is amazing! PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. This coin brought $9,600 in January 2021 and the current Collectors Universe value is listed at $12,000.
