- 1907-D Barber Quarter. MS-65 (PCGS). This frosty and sharply struck example also offers brilliant Gem-quality surfaces. The 1907-D is obtainable enough in lower Mint State grades through MS-64. As Q. David Bowers (2019) observes, however, "By all logic the 1907-D with its high mintage should be readily available in gem Mint State, but the reality is otherwise." Obviously this issue was saved in fewer numbers than the Denver Mint's inaugural quarter delivery of 1906. The attractive Gem offered here represents an important bidding opportunity.
