详细说明: 1858 Flying Eagle Cent. Small Letters. Snow-PR1. Proof-62 (PCGS). Very well made, as are most 1858 Small Letters Proofs, this specimen is toned in pale rose and iridescent blue over even tawny gold surfaces. Sharply struck and reflective, the reverse devices are ever so slightly frosted, lending a slightly cameo contrast to that side. In fact, the reverse may be 2 grade points higher than the obverse, which shows some minor hairlines whereas the reverse is hairline-free; it is possible that this coin was once in a cabinet or case and got dusty on the obverse, and when the dust was brushed off, hairlines were left behind. A positively appealing and fresh Flying Eagle Proof that will undoubtedly be gobbled up on auction night.
