A delectable GEM eagle from the turn of the last century. Conditionally challenging, only nine have ever graded higher. A thick mint frost glows boldly with a billowing cartwheel brilliance. Sharply struck up devices stand out against satiny smooth surfaces. The only marks are minor breaks in the frost, which do not detract much from the outstanding eye appeal. PCGS 37, NGC 64, CAC 8. The CAC CPG value is listed at $5,440 and this was the most recent CAC-approved example to sell in auction selling back in the August 2017 ANA auction. Anything finer (there are 4 in MS65+, 4 in MS66, and 1 in MS66+ graded higher at PCGS) will cost five figures. A great coin for any top notch Registry Set. Good luck. Cert. Number 4688983 PCGS # 8745
