- 1881 United States Assay Commission Medal. Copper. 33 mm. By George T. Morgan and William Barber. JK AC-24Ab. Rarity-5. MS-66 (NGC). Splendid mahogany-brown patina blankets both sides of this smooth, satiny Gem. It is fully struck with razor sharp detail throughout the design. This is the copper counterpart to the silver striking from the JK AC-24A dies offered above, the reverse design of which the Julian-Keusch reference on this series describes as "an artistic work of note."
