IRELAND. Gun Money Crown, 1690. Dublin Mint. James II. NGC MS-61. KM-103.1; S-6578; D&F-366; Withers dies 44/46. Overstruck on a gun money 1/2 Crown. Dark chocolate patina consistently coats the surfaces of this Mint State example. Traces of the undertype are fairly clear, especially in the reverse fields, but they hardly distract from well formed design elements.
