- 1788 Vermont Copper. RR-16, Bressett 15-S, W-2120. Rarity-2. Mailed Bust Right. VG-8 (PCGS). Deep golden tan surfaces reveal no contact marks worthy of mention though some natural planchet roughness, as struck, is noted across Liberty's midriff on the reverse. Nicely centered on both sides with the typical peripheral boldness and central weakness of Ryder-16. A pleasing entry-level coin that may prove to be a gateway acquisition into the exacting discipline of the Vermont copper series. PCGS# 563.
