One of the highest graded examples of the small, original wartime mintage of 18,000, just five coins have ever graded finer. Nearly full prooflike surfaces flash with a lustrous radiance. Thickly frosted devices contrast against the fields, giving this SUPERB GEM a wonderful almost cameo look. Very attractive and very high end! PCGS 16, NGC 15, CAC 13. The most recent example sold in January 2015 for $3,995 and that was the first time one had sold since the 2010 ANA auction. Just five are finer, again, none sold since 2015.
