What a handsome near-GEM example! We have had the pleasure of selling this beauty once before, selling in our May 2016 Regency Auction, where it was described as: "A lustrous and well preserved example of this easily identifiable O-103 die marriage. A bold strike, pleasing cartwheel luster shows an awesome champagne patina over both sides. This marriage is identified by three small die lumps on the reverse. Well struck and truly outstanding from an eye appeal standpoint." PCGS 68, NGC 69, CAC 14. This one brought $5,875 and the most recent PCGS/CAC sold for $10,800 in April 2019. The current CAC CPG value is $6,250. Difficult to find any finer, there are just about three dozen graded finer, which likely includes duplication. This is a great type coin worthy of a strong bid!
