详细说明: One of the FINEST examples from this popular Civil War era issue. The quality is SUPER HIGH END and the coin is absolutely magnificent! Only 8,000 three cent silvers were struck and this one ranks as second HIGHEST graded at PCGS with just a single MS68 finer. PRISTINE! Flawless surfaces are superior to most we see on Mint State 3 cent silver pieces. The luster is thick and frosty with a warm satiny finish in the fields. The only marks we see with the aid of a strong glass are mint made die clashing. The strike is sharp and bold with complete definition on both sides. Both sides have a soft teal blue with lilac toning and gold at the rims The eye appeal is really pretty! PCGS 6, NGC 5, CAC 3. This is one of only two graded MS67+ and there is just a single MS68 graded finer (a coin that has not been sold in auction since 1998!). Neither PCGS-graded example has ever sold in auction, but we sold a PCGS MS67 CAC for $9,106 in March 2020 and another sold for $11,750 in August 2017. The current Collectors Universe value is MS67+ is $17,500 and it jumps to $31,500 in MS68. This is a very important opportunity for the three cent silver specialist that cannot be missed.
