- New York--New York. "1850" (1861-1865) Peter Warmkessel. Fuld-630BZ-1do. Rarity-7. Copper-Nickel. 19 mm--Overstruck on an 1862 Indian Cent--MS-65 (NGC). A satiny and original Gem awash in warm medium tan patina. Remnants of the undertype are boldest around the peripheries, the lower obverse border revealing faint traces of the 1862 date from the Indian cent impression. The 1850 date on the reverse of the token is the founding date of Warmkessel's beer hall, whose home is given as 8 Duane Street, New York City in both the 1861 and 1864 directories.
