A very scarce Civil War date Proof Seated half. Sharply struck with bold frosted reliefs and strong details. The boldly mirrored fields have a watery-glittering reflection that brings out the highly original golden and light blue iridescent toning. The eye appeal is outstanding. Only 550 Proofs were struck. PCGS 15, NGC 9, CAC 4. This is the only PR64+ CAM graded and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $4,000. RARE any finer, this is a very pleasing and original borderline GEM! Cert.
