A Condition Census quality O-115, truly one of the finer examples extant of this R-1 variety. Marvelously preserved and high end, this GEM has a stunning visual allure. Boldly lustrous with seductive radiating cartwheels. A rich palette of blues and soft, pearly silver and gold caress both sides, deeper at the peripheries and fading to the lighter silver/gold in the centers. The eye appeal is off the charts! PCGS 21, NGC 19, CAC 11. RARE any finer. This coin has been on the market a few times, most recently selling for $13,800 in the 2019 Central States auction, as part of the Jim O'Neal Collection. Prior to that, there is a record from June 2017 for $22,325. Only 9 are graded finer, we think this coin belongs in a very high ranked set of Capped Bust half dollars.
