- 1876 Nevada Dollar. HK-19, Julian CM-36. Rarity-5. Silver. MS-64 (NGC).
38 mm. Rich steel-gray patina with intermingled highlights of iridescent olive, golden-rose and cobalt blue. Produced in conjunction with the 1876 U.S. Centennial Exposition, this type was struck from dies engraved by William Barber using silver ore mined in Nevada. Examples were sold at the Nevada Building on the Exposition grounds. Survivors are seldom encountered with the fully Choice quality and strong visual appeal of this piece.
