FOR THE LOVE OF COLOR! You know what's great about this high-grade GEM? That fact is free of the generally encountered fly specks or carbon spots that so often are seen on later date Buffalo nickels, even in ultra-high grades. Rich, satiny luster rolls over this coin in undulating waves and is only enhanced by the breathtakingly lovely toning in shades of sky blue, apricot, fiery orange and gold. Full strike with the date, LIBERTY, a split tail and complete hair on the bison all clearly seen with the naked eye. PCGS 60, NGC 22. Just 8 coins grade finer and the nicest is MS67+. The last non-CAC example to sell was in January 2022 for $1,800. PCGS Price Guide is $3,750 and an MS-67+ is listed in the PCGS Price Guide for $17,500.
