THE SOMMELIER COLLECTION Ex Eliasberg Collection, as noted on the insert. This is a truly beautiful SUPERB GEM Proof Seated quarter, offering perhaps the greatest pedigree in the pantheon of American numismatics, Louis E. Eliasberg., and it was sold as lot 1529 of the April 1997 Bowers & Merena/ Stack's sale of the Eliasberg Collection. Splendid, glassy smooth surfaces are flashy and have a great reflection. Both sides have a classic blend of antique gold, clear blue, and soft violet that frame the peripheries, creating a halo around brilliant, untoned centers. The eye appeal is amazing! PCGS 13, NGC 16, CAC 6. The last time this coin appeared in auction was twelve years ago, selling for $5,175 as an NGC/CAC PF67 in the 2009 FUN auction, before being crossed over to PCGS.
